CATHRYN L. BOSHEARS

Senior Portfolio Manager - Commercial / Residential

Cathryn Boshears is a native of Oregon. She attended Portland State University and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in 1975. After graduation from college, Cathryn was afforded the opportunity to work with Mercury Development, Inc., at one time the largest independent retail shopping center firm in Oregon. She enjoyed the challenges and opportunities presented in the real estate field and opted for a career in property management.

During her tenure with Mercury Development, she gained experience in many areas of property management as the firm developed, built and managed their own properties. Cathryn began her tenure with the firm in the accounts receivable\payable department and immediately assumed responsibility for the over 500 accounts.

In successive years, she was promoted and assumed the duties of a lease administrator and property management assistant. In her last position as Senior Property Manager for the firm, she was responsible for the management of more than one million square feet of property throughout the Portland metropolitan area. Cathryn also played a key role in the company conversion of all leasing and accounting data to a new computer system.

During her 31 years in the field, Cathryn has expanded her level of experience to include leasing activities, management, supervision of personnel, and management of diverse commercial properties including industrial, office, warehouse, and retail.

Cathryn joined the Commercial Department at Income Property Management in May 1991. She came to IPM after a year at Great Northwest Management, where she headed their newly formed Commercial Division. She is currently responsible for all daily operations, activities, and management decisions of several commercial projects including office, industrial, and retail.

Cathryn has expanded her experience in property management while at IPM by taking on management of nine low-income residential properties. These include Section 42, elderly or disabled, and HUD properties. She has successfully completed lease-up of two new Section 42 complexes.

In addition to her assigned portfolio, she has assumed responsibilities for the set-up of all new commercial properties taken on by IPM. She supervises the commercial department assistant, and assists in the lease administration activities for the Eugene branch office.

Cathryn has been involved with six properties on the IPM client list for more than 10 years. Her longevity on these projects demonstrates the confidence of the owners in her expertise and capabilities of management.

Cathryn obtained her real estate license in 1978. She has taken numerous continuing education classes, including the IREM 800 Ethics as well as the IREM 401 courses. In 1999, she became a certified tax credit specialist.

She obtained her brokers license in 2005.
