MICHAEL HAVLIK
Senior Portfolio Manager - Residential
Michael Havlik is a new addition to the IPM team. He brings extensive knowledge and experience in the diverse areas of property management.
Most recently, Michael was the Director of Asset Management at the Housing Authority of Portland. There, Michael was responsible to a board of commissioners for a publicly-owned portfolio consisting of 32 multifamily properties with 3,600 units of affordable housing, ranging in size from 20 to 560 units. Michael all oversaw contracts on 36 leased “Special Needs” facilities totaling 417 units.
Michael also served as the Fair Housing Officer during his tenure at Guardian Management. He reviewed all screening appeals and requests for reasonable accommodation. Michael was also in charge of employee training. He developed a curriculum and wrote the operations manual required of all site staff.
Michael has served as the President of the Metro Multifamily Housing Association in 2003 and has been presented with the Outstanding Contributor award by the Fair Housing Council of Oregon.
