GRACE PHILLIPSPortfolio Manager - Residential
Grace Phillips is our newest property manager, having joined IPM's staff in February 2006. Grace is a native Portlander and graduated from the University of Oregon in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology, with a strong focus on cultural studies. After graduation, a thirst for adventure took her 3,000 miles away to Boston, where she landed an assistant property management position at a prominent local real estate firm, assisting with a portfolio of 1,000 rental units. After a year, she transferred to a different property management company and was promoted to Property Manager, where she managed a diverse and challenging portfolio of residential, condominium and commercial properties across the Boston Metro area. Grace specialized in property takeovers particularly distressed properties and in her position, managed condo conversion projects, large capital improvement endeavors, Section 8 housing and an extremely competitive leasing environment.
Although she loved the fast-paced Boston environment, a desire to come home to her native city compelled her return to Portland, where she was hired by IPM. She is currently responsible for residential apartment buildings across the Portland metro area, including several historical buildings in Downtown and NW 23rd.
Grace is an extremely creative person, who enjoys writing, painting, and interior design, as well as the more physical pursuits of skiing, yoga and bicycling. She currently lives in SE Portland with her husband, Glen, an electrical designer, and her rambunctious cat, Noodle.
