JODENE SMITH

Accountant

In October 2000, Jodene Smith joined the Income Property Management team as a property accountant. Her experience in accounting includes residential, multifamily real estate, commercial, and industrial properties. She has also worked as an accountant for non-profit organizations. Jodene presently oversees a portfolio of 23 residential accounts.

An Oregon native, Jodene grew up in Tillamook before moving to the Portland area and is a graduate from Tillamook High School.

Jodene came to us from Prestige Property Management Co., a property management company based in Lake Oswego. At Prestige, she was responsible for billings and collections, preparing financial statements, audits, and payroll.

Prior experience includes Tri-County Industrial Park where Jodene oversaw 13 property management accounts including commercial properties, single home rentals, and apartment complexes. She was also employed at Simone Bookkeeping Service where she worked with 13 private and non-profit corporations.

The accounting background that Jodene brings to IPM is widely varied and includes full charge accounting through financial statements, bank reconciliations, payroll, and accounts payable. In addition to 18 years of on-the-job experience in the accounting field, Jodene has extensive computer software knowledge in SKYLINE, Yardi, Quicken, and Peachtree as well as MS Word and Excel.
